Scholars’ Cup Competition Brings Sporting Spirit and Academic Challenge
Posted on 19/05/2026Students across the Trust shone brightly at this year’s Scholars’ Cup Competitions, an energetic blend of academic challenge and sporting excellence that celebrated teamwork, resilience and a love of learning.
Teams from multiple year groups took part, with pupils participating in friendly inter‑school sports fixtures. Year 4 pupils impressed in both football and tag rugby, showing determination and great team spirit throughout the day.

Year 6 students continued the momentum, competing in football and netball, where their communication and tactical awareness stood out. Immense thanks to Ellie Sadler, GK London Mavericks, for coming along to support the teams.
Meanwhile, Year 8 pupils demonstrated maturity and leadership in their football and netball matches, earning praise from staff for their sportsmanship.

The event concluded with a celebration of achievement, recognising not only competition winners but also students who embodied the values of collaboration, curiosity and perseverance. Leaders across the Trust highlighted how the Scholars’ Cup strengthens community spirit and encourages pupils to challenge themselves in new and exciting ways.
