Buntingford First School

Buntingford First School, a brand-new 2 form entry First School located in East Hertfordshire. The school opened its doors for the first time in September 2023 and offers a high quality education for children between the ages of 3 and 9. They are also incredibly proud to boast to be the first net zero carbon school in the county.

Buntingford First School provides a stimulating and transformational education for the children to learn. The school has a nurturing ethos and a child-centred approach which enables all children to achieve high attainment and progress. The key drivers for the curriculum is around new technologies, well-being and of course, sustainability. Sustainability is inter-woven throughout the curriculum and the site lends itself to many key learning opportunities.

The school has been awarded the Constructing Excellence Climate Action Award 2024 as England's first net zero carbon school in construction and operation.
