Friends of Harpenden Academy have confirmed that the total amount of money raised through out “Grow Your Dough” initiative has reached the mind-boggling amount of £6167.38! This is a huge amount of money.

All the children received a certificate to celebrate their outstanding contribution to our fundraising effort. The Mayor of Harpenden, Beth Fisher, visited Harpenden Academy to award some additional certificates to the children to acknowledge their incredible commitment and teamwork.

The school launched their ‘Grow Your Dough’ initiative and each child was given an envelope of £2.26 (for Year 2026) and challenged to grow their money in any way they would like. We had bake sales, children doing sponsored activities, selling homemade goods etc.. There have been some really creative and clever ideas.
