Trust Anti-Bullying Conference 2025

Posted on 03/12/2025

On Friday, 14 November, Sir John Lawes School proudly hosted our annual Trust Anti-Bullying Conference. Secondary schools from across the Trust joined us to take part in a series of interactive workshops based on this year’s national Anti-Bullying Week theme: “Power for Good.”

Each year, students from Year 7 to Year 10 explore how to tackle bullying, understand its impact, and learn how they can use their influence to create positive change. This year, our fantastic Year 9 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors led a variety of activities, including:

  1. Acting out different bullying scenarios
  2. Creating a “Positive Wall” on Padlet
  3. Identifying inspiring role models
  4. Playing Jenga with a twist—knocking out the bully!
  5. Designing positive t-shirts
  6. Completing a word relay challenge

The day was full of creativity and collaboration, and every student left with a deeper understanding of what it means to be an upstander and how to report bullying effectively in their schools. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this event such a success! Together, we can all use our Power for Good.
