Earth Day - Friday 22 April

Harpenden Academy marked their first ever celebration of 'Earth Day' to continue promoting the profile of sustainability in the school. The children came to school dressed in green or pre-loved clothing to show how much we care about our planet. Some children also managed to share and promote important messages within the school community which was lovely to see.

The children linked English learning to Earth day this week and the whole school were busy learning a reading/poem or song linked with Earth Day. It was an honour to see these beautifully presented in assembly this afternoon - we are very lucky to have such passionate children and staff. Thank you to everyone for making Earth Day such a success.
