Sir John Lawes School's annual Careers Day welcomed more than a thousand Year 12 students from Sir John Lawes, other Scholars' Education Trust schools, and the wider local community. Now in its tenth year, the event has grown into a major fixture in the school calendar, bringing together over 75 businesses, charities, universities and alumni from across the local area, the UK and beyond.

Students began the day with a programme of employer talks, gaining first‑hand insight into a wide range of industries and career paths. The morning concluded with a vibrant Careers Fair, where attendees explored post‑16 options, asked questions, and made valuable connections. Many students also secured work‑experience leads and networking opportunities to support their next steps.
