Pupils and teachers came together as unified school communities to honour those who served and sacrificed.

The Samuel Ryder Academy Armistice Day ceremony took place on the courts, providing a meaningful outdoor commemoration that brought together students and staff. This shared experience deepens our students' understanding of the significance of Armistice Day and allows our entire school community to unite and reflect.

Our Head Students delivered a poignant speech, followed by a reading from our Head of School. The ceremony included a performance of "The Last Post" by our bugler, after which we observed two minutes of silence to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service.

A wreath was subsequently laid on behalf of our school community, symbolising our collective remembrance and respect.
