Careers Fair Hits Ninth Year

Posted on 29/04/2025

Last term Sir John Lawes School were delighted to host their annual Careers Day. The event is designed to advise our Year 12 students on the wide range of opportunities available to them after Sixth Form, including School Leaver Apprenticeship Programmes, Graduate Schemes and University.

As the largest event of its kind in the local area, Careers Day welcomed over 900 students from Sir John Lawes School, schools within the Scholars’ Education Trust as well as our partner schools within Harpenden.

The day featured over 90 businesses, charities, universities and alumni, with a carousel of employer talks in the morning and a bustling Careers Fair in the afternoon, where the Sports Hall was filled to capacity.

Students had the opportunity to explore post Sixth Form career pathways, gain industry insights, and even secure valuable work experience and professional connections.

Now in its ninth year, Careers Day continued to exceed expectations, attracting a high-calibre and diverse range of local, national, and international companies - a big thank you to everyone who supported the day.
