Harpenden schools scoop UK Go School Championships
Posted on 16/10/2019On Sunday 13 October 2019, a team from Sir John Lawes School and Harpenden Academy travelled to Cambridge to take part in the UK Go Challenge and the National Small Board championship. Congratulations go to SJL who won and are now UK Go Challenge School Champions! They beat players from schools in Oxford, Cambridge, London, Letchworth and Epsom.
Congratulations also to Harpenden Academy who also won to become UK Go Challenge Primary School Champions. It was a tight finish as SJL beat HA in the final for the overall title by half a point! SJL beat City of London School in the semi-final and HA beat Ilford School in the other semi. A fantastic achievement!
