Oxbridge Trip to Cambridge University

Posted on 02/12/2024

Yesterday, some of Samuel Ryder Academy's Year 11 students joined an Oxbridge trip to Cambridge University.

It was an inspiring visit and a wonderful opportunity for the students, as Noor, Christina and Adele recounted in their own words: “Today, we visited Gonville and Caius College in the University of Cambridge. We were given a talk about Cambridge and had a general discussion on how to apply to universities. After that, we had a tour of the beautiful campus from some current students who gave us a good insight into university life. We found it very informative and we learnt more about what we can do to help improve our applications. We really enjoyed the visit, especially looking around Cambridge and the many bikes."

Rahima concluded: “I had an amazing time looking at the architecture of the building and the students did a really good job giving us a tour; seeing the building made me want to do even better academically, so hopefully one day I can go there as the atmosphere was amazing.”
