Priory Academy GCSE History RAF Cosford Trip

At the end of October, GCSE Historians visited the National Cold War Museum in Wolverhampton to enrich our understanding of the Superpower Relations unit. The Cold War hangar was full to the brim with artefacts from the period of rivalry and tension that brought the world close to the brink of nuclear war between 1945 and 1991.

Students engaged in a range of educational activities designed to boost understanding of key themes in the unit such as Mutually Assured Destruction, The Berlin Crises, The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Space Race and Overseas ‘Proxy Wars’ fought to preserve or extend communism and capitalism.
