Two teams of Year 8 and 9 debaters represented SJL brilliantly at a friendly inter-school debate between the four Harpenden secondary schools, hosted by KWS this week. Lauren, Eva, Charm and Maya were confident, articulate and persuasive in opposing the motions 'This House believes social media does more harm than good' and 'This House would raise the tax on fast food'.

It was a closely fought event but SJL came out on top, with both teams winning their debates and Charm and Maya being named best team of the whole evening. Well done to all involved.
